Mark “Flood” Ellis has been one of the world’s most celebrated music producers for more than forty years.
Sounds have come and gone, tastes have changed, but the London-born Ellis has proven endlessly adaptable over the years. He made his pseudo-name splashing around the fertile waters after punk, working with some of the leading industrial and post-punk bands of the 1980’s. The years since have seen Flood ascend into the big leagues - he’s got a direct line to U2 - but the steez he laid down in those early years have served him well as he’s moved across styles.
Flood's list of work includes projects with New Order, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Marc and the Mambas, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Sneaker Pimps, King, Ministry, The Charlatans, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Erasure, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey, Foals, a-ha, Orbital, Sigur Rós, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers, White Lies, Pop Will Eat Itself, Warpaint, EOB, and Interpol.
His co-production collaborations have included projects with Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, Steve Lillywhite,
and longtime collaborator Alan Moulder, with whom he co-founded the Assault & Battery Studios complex. In 2006, his work with U2 led to his sharing the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
Michael Blair is a musician, creative consultant, communication coach, and event presenter with an impressive portfolio, collaborating with notable organizations such as The Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, The South by Southwest conference in Texas, and the Polar Music Prize. His extensive experience includes working with iconic musicians like Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Lou Reed, R.E.M., The Pogues, and The Replacements.
Michael is praised for his unique perspective and ability to connect people, making him a valuable asset in any project. His international background enriches his insights, and he is recognized for his dynamic approach and strong network in the music industry.
Colleagues describe him as a committed and kind professional, capable of delivering high-quality results while fostering creativity.
